When you come up with a niche that sounds great and unique, do not underestimate its implementation.
You will probably have an impression that it’s easy to implement.
For the example of health/sport niche hotel, the topics like food, activity, sleep pop up.
But this is not implementation of concept. (One would faulty assume that this is what the team behind a big chain would know! Alas.)
Concept application are multiple layers of different forms of guest experience. From space organization and interior design, through aesthetics and specific qualities, to service offer and delivery.
These multiple layers show how dedicated a hotel is to its guests. This structure is directly part of hotel’s integrity. In other words, guests will feel completely taken care of or like in just another hotel.
In case of health/sport hotel examples could be touching on mental and emotional health besides physical, investigating the science of sleep and creating perfect environment, thinking creatively in terms of providing emotional comfort while offering to support their guests in specific physical activities and food regime.
When there are no thoughtfully designed layers, that’s not exactly what guests will point out, but WHATEVER YOUR PRICE IS, IT WILL NOT BE WORTH THEIR MONEY.
